आकाशगंगा (Galaxy In Hindi) :

आकाशगंगा, मिल्की वे, क्षीरमार्ग या मंदाकिनी हमारी गैलक्सी को कहते हैं जिसमें पृथ्वी और हमारा सौरमंडल स्थित है। आकाशगंगा आकृति में एक सर्पिल गैलक्सी है जिसका एक बड़ा केंद्र है और उससे निकलती हुई कई वक्र भुजाएं।

हमारा सौरमंडल इसकी शिकारी हंस भुजा पर स्थित है। आकाशगंगा में 100 खरब से 400 अरब के मध्य तारे हैं और ऐसा अनुमान लगाया जाता है कि लगभग 50 अरब ग्रह होंगे जिनमें से 50 करोड़ अपने तारों से जीवन योग्य तापमान रखने की दूरी पर हैं। सन् 2011 में होने वाले एक सर्वेक्षण में यह संभावना पाई गई है कि इस अनुमान से अधिक ग्रह हों – इस अध्धयन के अनुसार आकाशगंगा में तारों की संख्या से दोगुने ग्रह हो सकते हैं।

हमारा सौरमंडल आकाशगंगा के बाहरी इलाके में स्थित है और आकाशगंगा के केंद्र की परिक्रमा करने में लगभग 22.5 से 25 करोड़ वर्ष लगाता है। जब हम ब्रह्मांड के रहस्यों को समझने के क्रम में तारों की दुनिया और उनके जीवन चक्र तथा खगोलीय पिंड क्वासर के बारे में जानने के बाद आज आकाशगंगा को जानने के क्रम पर पहुंचे हैं।

आकाशगंगा की उत्पत्ति :

हम लोग जिस ग्रह पर रहते हैं उसका नाम पृथ्वी है। पृथ्वी हमारे सौरमंडल के अन्य ग्रहों के समान एक अहम हिस्सा है। हमारा सौरमंडल आकाशगंगा का सिर्फ एक छोटा सा हिस्सा है। आकाशगंगा बहुत सी गैसों, धूल और अरबों ग्रहों के सौरमंडल का संयुक्त रूप से बना एक आकार है।

आसान शब्दों में कहा जाए तो बहुत सारे ग्रह मिलकर एक सौरमंडल का निर्माण करते हैं और ऐसे करोड़ों से भी अधिक सौरमंडल मिलकर एक आकाशगंगा बनाते हैं। आकाशगंगा एक विशालकाय रूप है जिसमें सौरमंडल के साथ-साथ धूल के कणों और बहुत सी गैसों का भी संयोजन रहता है।

आकाशगंगा गुरुत्वाकर्षण बल से पूर्णतया जुड़ा रहता है। हमारी आकाशगंगा के बिलकुल बीच में एक बहुत भारी ब्लैक होल भी है। जब रात के समय हम आकाश को देखते हैं तो हमें बहुत सारे तारों को देखने का मौका मिलता है जिसमें हमारी आँखों के समक्ष आकाशगंगा में उपस्थित अन्य तारों को भी हम देख सकते हैं।

कभी-कभी यह बहुत काला या अँधेरा जैसा भी हो जाता। जब हमें कुछ तारे ही दिखते हैं तब वहां पर धूल का जमावड़ा हमारी नजर को धुंधला कर देता है जिसे हम स्पष्ट रूप से नहीं देख सकते। जिस करोड़ों अरबों ग्रहों से बनी आकाशगंगा में हम सभी रहते हैं ऐसी ही बहुत सी आकाशगंगाएं हैं।

ये इतनी हैं कि हम शायद गिन भी नहीं पाएंगे। हब्बल स्पेस टेलिस्कोप की सहायता से वैज्ञानिकों ने एक बार की कोशिश से सिर्फ 12 दिन में 10,000 आकाशगंगाओं की खोज की। इन आकाशगंगाओं में कुछ छोटे, कुछ बड़े, विभिन्न आकार और रंगों की आकाशगंगाओं को देखा गया।

कुछ वैज्ञानिकों का मानना है कि लगभग अरबों में से कुछ आकाशगंगाओं के होने की उम्मीद है। कुछ आकाशगंगाओं का आकार कुंडली के आकार का होता है जैसे हम जिस आकाशगंगा में रहते हैं उस आकाशगंगा का आकार भी कुंडली के आकार का है।

दूसरे अंडाकार या दीर्घ वृत्ताकार के आकार में होते है और कुछ अन्य अटपटे आकार में भी होते हैं जो संयोजित नहीं होते हैं। शायद उन आकाशगंगाओं की कार्य प्रणाली ही उन्हें ऐसा बनाती हो। अनियमित और नियमित आकार वाली ऐसी आकाशगंगा को विशेष दूरबीन से देखने पर हमें इसमें से भरपूर रोशनी निकलती हुई दिखाई देती है।

यह प्रकाश उस आकाशगंगा का नहीं बल्कि उस आकाशगंगा में उपस्थित तारों का होता है। कभी-कभी भिन्न-भिन्न आकाशगंगा एक-दूसरे के बहुत अधिक नजदीक भी आ जाते हैं और कभी-कभी इनमें टकराव भी हो जाता है। जिससे उस आकाशगंगा के गुरुत्वाकर्षण पर बल पड़ता है और उस आकाशगंगा में उपस्थित सभी ग्रहों का विनाश हो जाता है।

आकाशगंगा के टूटते ही उसमें उपस्थित गैस और ग्रह सभी अलग-अलग होकर नष्ट हो जाते हैं। हमारी पृथ्वी भी अन्य आकाशगंगाओं के समान एक दिन आकाशगंगा से लड़कर और टूटकर नष्ट हो जाएगी। हमारी आकाशगंगा के समीप उपस्थित सबसे नजदीक आकशगंगा का नाम एंड्रोमेडा है जिससे पृथ्वी एक दिन टकराएगी और आकाशगंगा एंड्रोमेडा और हमारी आकाशगंगा दोनों एक साथ नष्ट हो जाएँगी।

लेकिन आपको घबराने की आवश्यकता नहीं है क्योंकि ऐसा होने में अभी 5 करोड़ साल और लगेंगे लेकिन यदि यह कल भी हो जाए तो आपको इसका पता नहीं चलेगा क्योंकि आकाशगंगा एक विशालकाय आकार में बने बहुत सारी गैसों, धूल और ग्रहों का समूह होता है जिसके क्रियाकलाप इतनी आसानी से नहीं समझे जा सकते हैं।

आकाशगंगा का नाम :

संस्कृत और कई दूसरी हिन्द आर्य भाषाओं में हमारी गैलक्सी को आकाशगंगा कहा जाता है। पुरानों में भी आकाशगंगा और पृथ्वी पर स्थित गंगा नदी को एक-दूसरे का जोड़ा माना जाता था और दोनों को पवित्र माना जाता था। पुराने हिन्दू धार्मिक ग्रंथों में आकाशगंगा को क्षीर बुलाया गया है।

भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप के बाहर भी कई सभ्यताओं को आकाशगंगा दूधिया लगी। गैलक्सी शब्द का मूल, यूनानी भाषा का गाला शब्द है जिसका अर्थ भी दूध होता है। फारसी संस्कृत की ही तरह एक हिन्द ईरानी भाषा है इसलिए उसका दूध के लिए शब्द संस्कृत के क्षीर से मिलता-जुलता सजातीय शब्द शीर है और आकाशगंगा को राह-ए-शीरी बुलाया जाता है।

इंग्लिश में आकाशगंगा को मिल्की वे बुलाया जाता है जिसका अर्थ दूध का मार्ग होता है। कुछ पूर्वी एशियाई सभ्यताओं ने आकाशगंगा शब्द की तरह आकाशगंगा में एक नदी देखी थी। आकाशगंगा को चीनी में चांदी की नदी और कोरियाई भाषा में मिरिनाए कहा जाता है।

आकाशगंगा का आकार :

आकाशगंगा एक सर्पिल गैलक्सी है। इसके चपटे चक्र का व्यास लगभग एक लाख प्रकाश वर्ष है परंतु इसकी मोटाई सिर्फ एक हजार प्रकाश वर्ष है। आकाशगंगा के बड़े होने का अनुमान इस बात से लगाया जा सकता है कि यदि हमारे पूरे सौरमंडल के चक्र के क्षेत्रफल को एक रूपए के सिक्के जितना समझ लिया जाए तो उसकी तुलना में आकाशगंगा का क्षेत्रफल भारत का डेढ़ गुना होगा।

अनुमान लगाया जाता है कि आकाशगंगा में कम-से-कम एक खरब तारे हैं लेकिन ऐसा नहीं है कि यह संख्या चार खरब तक हो। तुलना के लिए हमारी पड़ोसी गैलक्सी एंड्रोमेडा में 10 खरब तारे हो सकते हैं। एंड्रोमेडा का आकार भी सर्पिल है। आकाशगंगा के चक्र की कोई ऐसी सीमा नहीं है जिसके बाद तारे एकदम न हो बल्कि सीमा के पास तारों का घनत्व धीरे-धीरे कम होता जाता है।

ऐसा देखा गया है कि केंद्र से 40,000 प्रकाश वर्षों की दूरी के बाद तारों का घनत्व तेजी से कम होने लगता है। वैज्ञानिकों ने इसकी वजह को ठीक तरह से नहीं समझा है। मुख्य भुजाओं के बाहर एक दूसरी गैलक्सी से अरबों सालों के काल में छीने गए तारों का छल्ला है जिसे इकसिंगा छल्ला कहते हैं।

आकाशगंगा के आस-पास एक गैलेक्सीय सेहरा भी है जिसमें तारे और प्लाज्मा गैस कम घनत्व में उपस्थित है लेकिन इस सेहरे का आकार आकाशगंगा की दो मॅजलॅनिक बादल नाम की उपग्रहीय गैलेक्सियों की वजह से सीमित है।

संरचना के आधार पर आकाशगंगाओं का वर्गीकरण :

1. सर्पिल आकाशगंगा : सर्पिल आकाशगंगा की संरचना डिस्क के आकार की होती है। सर्पिल आकाशगंगाओं का केंद्रीय भाग थोडा सा उठा हुआ प्रतीत होता है। केंद्रीय भाग के बाहर उसके दो विचित्र संरचना वाले हाथ निकले हुए प्रतीत होते हैं। इस प्रकार की आकाशगंगा में मुख्यतः ए और बी प्रकार के गर्म एवं प्रकाशमान तारे होते हैं।

जैसा कि हम जानते हैं कि ए और बी प्रकार के तारों का जीवनकाल बहुत कम होता है इसलिए हम यह कह सकते हैं कि सर्पिल आकाशगंगा में कम आयु वाले तारे हैं और यहाँ पर नए तारों का निर्माण भी होता रहता है। हमारी आकाशगंगा भी इसी प्रकार की संरचना वाली है। हमारे पास की मंदाकिनी देवयानी भी सर्पिल संरचना वाली है। अभी तक संपूर्ण ज्ञातव्य ब्रह्मांड में उपस्थित सभी आकाशगंगाओं में 80% आकाशगंगाएं सर्पिल संरचना वाली हैं।

2. दीर्घवृत्ताकार आकाशगंगा : इस तरह की आकाशगंगाएं चिकनी और बिना किसी विचित्रता की होती हैं। ब्रह्मांड में आज तक कुल आकाशगंगाओं में लगभग 17% आकाशगंगाएं इसी तरह की संरचना वाली हैं।

3. स्तंभ सर्पिल और अनियमित आकाशगंगा : इस तरह की संरचना वाली आकाशगंगाओं की दोनों सर्पिल हाथ एक सीधे स्तंभ के दोनों छोर से उद्भव होते दिखाई देते हैं। यही सीधा स्तंभ आकाशगंगा के केंद्र से होकर गुजरता है। अब तक ज्ञात कुल आकाशगंगाओं में लगभग एक प्रतिशत आकाशगंगाएं इसी तरह की संरचना वाली है। इन तीन प्रकार की आकाशगंगाओं के अलावा ब्रह्मांड में लगभग 2 प्रतिशत आकाशगंगाएं अनियमित संरचना वाली हैं। इनका आकार अनियमित है और ये छोटे होते हैं।

4. दुग्ध मेखला आकाशगंगा : हमारा सूर्य और उसका परिवार अथार्त सौरमंडल जिस आकाशगंगा का सदस्य है उसका नाम दुग्ध मेखला है। आकाशगंगा के आकार-प्रकार को समझने के लिए एक चपटी रोटी की कल्पना करें जिसका मध्य भाग थोडा सा फूला हुआ है। अरबों-खरबों तारों से मिलकर एक विशाल योजना बनती है जिसे मंदाकिनी कहते हैं। असल में आकाशगंगा एक मंदाकिनी ही है।

आकाशगंगा की भुजाएं :

क्योंकि मानव आकाशगंगा के चक्र के अंदर स्थित है इसलिए हम इसकी सही आकृति का अनुमान नहीं लगा पाए हैं। हम पूरी आकाशगंगा के चक्र और उसकी भुजाओं को देख नहीं सकते। हमें हजारों दूसरी गैलेक्सियों का पूरा दृश्य आकाश में मिलता है जिससे हमें गैलेक्सियों की भिन्न श्रेणियों का पता लगता है।

आकाशगंगा का अध्धयन करने के पश्चात हम सिर्फ अनुमान लगा सकते हैं कि यह सर्पिल श्रेणी की गैलक्सी है। यह पता लगाना बहुत कठिन है कि आकाशगंगा की कितनी मुख्य और क्षुद्र भुजाएं हैं। यह भी देखा गया है कि अन्य सर्पिल गैलेक्सियों में भुजाएं कभी-कभी अजीब दिशाओं में मुड़ी हुई होती हैं या विभाजित होकर उपभुजाएं बनती हैं।

इन कठिनाईयों के कारण वैज्ञानिकों में आकार को लेकर मतभेद है। वर्ष 2008 तक माना जाता था कि आकाशगंगा की चार मुख्य भुजाएं हैं और कम-से-कम दो छोटी भुजाएं हैं जिनमें से एक शिकारी हंस भुजा है जिसपर हमारा सौरमंडल स्थित है।

वर्ष 2008 में विस्कोंसिन विश्वविद्यालय के रॉबर्ट बॅन्जमिन ने अपने अनुसंधान का नतीजा घोषित करते हुए दावा किया कि वास्तव में आकाशगंगा की सिर्फ दो मुख्य भुजाएं हैं – परसीयस भुजा और स्कूटम सॅन्टॉरस भुजा और अन्य सारी छोटी भुजाएं हैं। यदि यह सत्य है तो आकाशगंगा का आकार एंड्रोमेडा से अलग और ऍन०जी०सी० 1365 नाम की सर्पिल गैलक्सी जैसा होगा।

आकाशगंगा की बनावट :

1990 के दशक तक वैज्ञानिक समझा करते थे कि आकाशगंगा का घना केंद्रीय भाग एक गोले के आकार का है लेकिन फिर उन्हें शक होने लगा कि उसका आकार एक मोटे डंडे के समान है। वर्ष 2005 में स्पिटजर अंतरिक्ष दूरबीन से ली गई तस्वीरों से स्पष्ट हो गया है कि उनकी आशंका ठीक थी कि आकाशगंगा का केंद्र असल में गोले से अधिक खिंचा हुआ एक डंडेनुमा आकार निकला।

आकाशगंगा की आयु :

वर्ष 2007 में आकाशगंगा में एक एच०ई० 1523 से 0901 नाम के तारे की आयु 13.2 अरब साल अनुमानित की गई इसलिए आकाशगंगा कम-से-कम उतनी ही पुरानी है।

उपग्रहीय गैलेक्सियां :

दो आकाशगंगाएं जिन्हें बड़ा और छोटा मॅजलॅनिक बादल कहा जाता है, आकाशगंगा की परिक्रमा कर रहे हैं। आकाशगंगा की और भी उपग्रहीय गैलक्सियाँ हैं।

ब्रह्मांड की ग्यारह आकाशगंगाएं :

धरती से दूर अलग-अलग आकाशगंगाओं की रोशनी हम तक लाखों अथवा करोड़ों सालों में पहुंचती है। नासा की शक्तिशाली हब्बल टेलिस्कोप ने अंतरिक्ष की बहुत सी आकाशगंगाओं की तस्वीरें लेने का काम किया है। बहुत सी आकाशगंगाएं तो इतनी दूर हैं कि उनका प्रकाश हमारी पृथ्वी पर पहुंचने में लाखों सालों का समय लेता है।

इससे हमें यह पता चलता है कि हम उस आकाशगंगा को लाखों सालों पहले की अवस्था में देख रहे होते हैं। यदि कोई आकाशगंगा एक करोड़ प्रकाश वर्ष दूर है तो हम उसे एक करोड़ साल पहले की अवस्था में देखते हैं जो पृथ्वी पर मानव प्रजाति के अभ्युदय से पहला वक्त है।

1. पिनव्हील गैलक्सी : पिनव्हील गैलक्सी को मेसियर 101 भी कहा जाता है। यह पृथ्वी से 2.5 करोड़ प्रकाश वर्ष की दूरी पर स्थित है। इस आकाशगंगा के एक कोने पर स्थित एक तारे की दूसरे कोने पर स्थित तारे से दूरी 1.7 लाख प्रकाश वर्ष है इससे पता चलता है कि यह हमारी आकाशगंगा से 2 गुना आकार की है। यह भी माना जाता है कि इसमें लगभग एक खरब तारे उपस्थित हैं।

2. सोमब्रेरो गैलक्सी : पिनव्हील गैलक्सी से कुछ ही दूरी पर सोमब्रेरो गैलक्सी स्थित है जिसे एम 104 भी कहा जाता है। यह गैल्क्सी लगभग 2.8 करोड़ प्रकाश वर्ष की दूरी पर स्थित है। इस आकाशगंगा का फैलाव लगभग 50 हजार प्रकाश वर्ष है और आकार 800 अरब सूर्यों के आकार के बराबर है।

3. एंटेने गैलक्सी : ये दोनों सर्पिल आकार की आकाशगंगाएं हैं जिन्हें एंटेने आकाशगंगा भी कहते हैं। ये एक वक्त में एक-दूसरे से अलग हो गईं थी लेकिन बाद में एक-दूसरे को गुरुत्व से खींचने लगीं। इन दोनों आकाशगंगाओं के मध्य यह संवाद सैकड़ों लाखों साल पहले शुरू हुआ था। यह आकाशगंगा पृथ्वी से 4.5 करोड़ प्रकाश वर्ष दूर स्थित है और आपस में टकराने वाली आकाशगंगाओं में सबसे निकट है।

10. एनएचसी 1275 : इसके केंद्र में बड़ा ब्लैक होल है। इस ब्लैक होल के चलते इससे बहुत शक्तिशाली एक्स रे निकलती हैं जिन्हें अब हम 23 करोड़ साल बाद देख पा रहे हैं।

11. एम 60 यूसीडी 1 : यह अंतरिक्ष की सबसे घनी आकाशगंगा है। इस आकाशगंगा का वजन हमारे सूर्य से 20 करोड़ गुना अधिक है और यह पृथ्वी से लगभग 5.4 करोड़ प्रकाश वर्ष दूर है।
